Two examples of manufactured beauty (products in stores) in TRF.

A Barbie is the PERFECT example of manufactured beauty. But that's all that it really is, manufactured. This Barbie has no "real" beauty, it's all fake. It's sad that many young girls look up to the "Barbie standard" as beautiful, and that they have to be this skinny and have this certain look to be beautiful. Did you know that if this Barbie was real, her body would be so out of proportion that she would not be able to have a baby, nor be able to even stand up?

Here is a cute little sign that we found in the Pioneer Village in the Barber Shop. The sign says, "It Pays To Look Well." We thought this sign would be a good example of manufactured beauty. What it says is true, especially when it comes to job interviews or dressing up for professional jobs. You may hear the saying, "Don't judge by looks" but your looks really do say something about you! Another really good quote I've heard before is "You never get a second chance at a first impression," (I'm not sure who it's by, but I thought it was very true!)
